Occupational Therapist | 10112 | permanent contract | 37 hours per week | £39,862 to £41,771 per annum | Grade J | Norwich
We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Integrated Housing Adaptation Team (IHAT) as part of the Northern Locality Adult Community Care Team, working alongside Broadland District Council (BDC) staff. The team consists of Team Leader, Technical Officers, Occupational Therapists and Administration Support based at the Broadland and South Norfolk District Council offices in Thorpe St Andrew.
We are looking to recruit a new team member who is committed to working with our service user group of people who have difficulty accessing facilities in or around their homes.
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal sensitively with service users and their families/carers. The ability to manage conversations and customer expectations effectively is vital.
You will be able to produce written assessments to a high standard and be able to understand and apply relevant legislation, including the Disabled Facilities Grant process. You should be a qualified OT with experience recommending adaptations to people’s homes to enable clients to become more independent.
You need to be registered with the HCPC as a practising Occupational Therapist.
We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists (grade J and above) new to Norfolk County Council. Amount to be repaid in full should you leave within two years of employment.
