Security Consultant
Job Description
We are supporting our Edinburgh based client with a new Security Consultant contract position. You will be working on a major transformation programme supporting the delivery of an end-to-end security evaluation project. This role will be an initial 6 month contract with 1 day per week in Edinburgh office. In addition, this role will be INSIDE IR35.
Responsibilities
1. Design options for delivering future end-to-end security evaluations.
2. Run a short proof of concept tests.
3. Create a detailed implementation plan.
4. Stakeholder management with engineering, security, and programme teams.
5. Writing documentation.
6. Support workshops and working sessions with technical and non-technical teams.
7. Provide knowledge on security assessments and security evaluation methods.
Essential Skills
8. Strong security architecture or design background.
9. Experience conducting risk assessments.
10. Familiarity with industry standards such as CIS, NIST, and ISF SOGP.
11. Understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications (non-essential)
12. CISSP certification.
13. CISM certification.
14. CCSK certification
