HGV Technician (Nights) Location: Widnes Salary: £24.47 per hour (including shift premium) + Technician Grade Bonus Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 6:00pm 6:00am Contract: Permanent
Overview Were looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle workshop in Widnes. This is a night shift role, working Tuesday through Friday, carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs to keep vehicles safe, roadworthy, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Routine servicing, inspections, and general maintenance of HGVs
Fault diagnosis and repair to DVSA standards
MOT preparation and presentation
Completion of all required paperwork and job cards
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently
Supporting workshop colleagues and maintaining high standards
What Youll Need
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI) or equivalent
Proven experience working as an HGV Technician / Mechanic
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable)
Flexibility and commitment to working night shifts
