Here at Alexander Steele Recruitment, we are working with a leading food manufacturer in Berkshire who are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to lead and drive food safety, quality, and compliance across their manufacturing site. This is a key senior position within the business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of technical standards, manage audits, strengthen customer relationships, and lead continuous improvement across the operation.
The Role
As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical, quality assurance and food safety activity onsite, ensuring products meet customer expectations, legal standards, and internal specifications. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the site’s food safety and quality management systems while leading the technical, QA, and hygiene teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the site’s Technical, QA and Hygiene teams
2. Maintain compliance across food safety, quality and legal requirements
3. Develop and implement HACCP, allergen controls, traceability and testing schedules
4. Own internal and external audits including corrective actions and reporting
5. Manage customer complaints, investigations, and technical queries
