Due to expanding our busy reception department we have an exciting opportunity at Riverside Health Partnership for a Medical Receptionist/Care Navigator to join our team
Riverside is a 4-site surgery caring for over 23'000 patient's, we are based in Retford, Harworth, Misterton & Gringley-On-The-Hill, successful candidates are expected to work across all sites, therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
The Receptionist/Care Navigator plays a crucial role in supporting patients through their healthcare journey. This position involves coordinating care, providing guidance, and ensuring that patients receive the necessary resources and support to manage their health effectively. The Receptionist/Care Navigator will work closely with healthcare providers, patients, and their families to facilitate communication and streamline access to services.
Duties
* Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, addressing their queries and concerns regarding healthcare services.
* Coordinate appointments, sign post, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of services.
* Assist patients in understanding their treatment plans and navigating the healthcare system.
* Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and care plans in compliance with confidentiality regulations.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and improve outcomes.
* Provide educational resources to patients and families about available services and support systems.
Experience
* Previous experience in an office or administrative role is desirable.
* Good customer service skills are essential.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
* A compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on empathy and understanding.
* Familiarity with healthcare systems or experience in a clinical environment is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
