Job Description Hygiene Department Trainer Food Manufacturing | Training-Focused Role | Make a Real Impact Working hours: Mon – Fri,10pm – 6.30, 40 hours We're looking for someone who knows hygiene standards inside-out and enjoys being hands-on in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who's built up solid hygiene experience and wants to take on more responsibility, helping to maintain standards, support training and make sure hygiene procedures are followed consistently across the site. You'll spend plenty of time on the factory floor, working closely with production and hygiene teams, identifying improvements, supporting best practice and helping ensure the site remains audit-ready. What you'll be doing Supporting the delivery of site hygiene standards across production areas. Carrying out hygiene checks and audits to ensure procedures are being followed correctly. Updating and maintaining hygiene SOPs and related documentation. Delivering practical, hands-on training and coaching to colleagues on hygiene procedures and best practices. Supporting hygiene investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement activities. Working closely with the Hygiene, Quality and Production teams to maintain food safety and compliance standards. Helping prepare for customer, third-party and internal audits. Being a visible presence on the shop floor and promoting high standards through positive engagement with teams. What we're looking for Previous experience in a hygiene role within food manufacturing or a production environment. Good knowledge of CIC systems, hygiene procedures and sanitation practices. Experience writing, updating or working with SOPs and hygiene documentation. Confidence delivering training and coaching colleagues. Someone who enjoys being on the factory floor and working directly with operational teams. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining standards. Understanding of HACCP, GMP and food manufacturing compliance requirements.
