Preparing accurate and timely reports for senior managements to enable business decisions to be made. This is a development role and the person must have a keen eye for detail in their role. Job Description Person Specification - Head of Transactional Services Previous Team management experience, 24 months minimum. Previous Purchase Ledger management experience, 24 months minimum Understanding of costings for assets and rental agreements Working understanding of VAT & Duty Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Excel. Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels. Collaborative Approach Ability to work under pressure & respect for critical deadlines. Core Activities - Head of Transactional Services To Lead, mentor, support and motivate the Purchase Ledger team to achieve todays targets; modernise the ways of working and develop the team as individuals. Manage and develop the Rental Contracts team working directly with the team supervisor to ensure that work is completed to a high standard and on time with a collaborative approach across the business Manage further transactional services as required Carry out regular team appraisals, highlight any staff knowledge gaps and initiate ongoing training to team members if required. Actively manage poor performance Manage team workload, ensuring data is processed accurately and in a timely manner, developing a culture of continuous improvement Work with associated teams across the business to ensure that process work smoothly and efficiently Technically ensure that all of the processes are managed well and work with the business teams (mainly depots) on aligning to the processes. Ensure compliance with company policies and all statutory obligations Develop and maintain insightful management reporting on key performance indicators Ad-hoc duties, as required to support the goals and objectives of the team.
