Essential Qualifications And Skills

* Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence is essential.
Desirable Qualifications And Skills
* Qualified Trainer: Level 2 or higher physical training qualification and Level 3 Award in Education and Training preferred.
* Proven Track Record: Experience in training design, especially in safety, entry methods, health and safety, or first aid.
* Integrity and Courage: Willingness to challenge inappropriate behaviour and uphold high standards.
* Innovative Thinker: Knowledge of learning and development best practices, including blended training.
* Recent Operational Experience: Direct experience in relevant training areas is advantageous.

Important Information
Medical: Appointment depends on medical checks, including drugs and fitness tests. Candidates passing the initial sift will complete a Police Job Related Fitness Test to Level 6:3 (multi-stage 15m bleep test).
Probationary Policy: Current probationary officers cannot apply for alternative roles unless supported by their line manager, and if successful, their probation starts anew. Policies - Probation Period (Police Staff) (wmpad.local).
Hours and Location: Monday to Friday, 0800-1600 hrs, with flexible options. Based at Tally Ho, with training at various stations. Work pattern includes 1 in 8 weekends (16-week cycle).
Vetting: Successful applicants will undergo recruitment vetting and counter-terrorism clearance, including background and financial checks.
