Our Risk team supports Macquarie Asset Management in providing risk guidance on transactions, new products and opportunities and implementing a strong risk management framework, including assessing that internal controls are designed and operating effectively.

What role will you play?
As an Executive supporting the Real Assets and Real Estate divisions, you will have the opportunity to apply your risk skills and experience to play a key role in implementing and further helping the development of our risk strategy.
Reporting directly into the regional risk lead for Real Assets and Real Estate in EMEA, you will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Real Assets and Real Estate businesses, as well as other specialist areas, helping to reinforce a culture of risk management.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Provide guidance to Macquarie Asset Management staff on the implementation of framework and policy queries
* Assist regional and global risk leads with advice and support to transaction and asset management teams
* Incident management including investigation of root cause, recording of operational risk incidents and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are implemented
* Ensure timely and appropriate completion of various risk tasks and projects including Asset Risk Management Framework Assessments, service provider reviews, and general transaction compliance
• Prepare risk reporting and insights for presentation to Senior Management and Boards.
* Supporting the divisional semi-annual risk and control self-assessment process
What you offer
* 3+ years' experience developing or executing non-financial risk management frameworks, ideally for an alternative investment manager
* Deep understanding of business control environments and technology, gained through prior risk management or equivalent roles
* Proven ability to advise on projects and other related framework activities, partnering with the business to help design effective controls and improve processes relating to the monitoring of the risk management framework
* Analytical thinker with great attention to detail, able to synthesise large quantities of information into key messages
* A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, able to initiate and lead conversations regarding anticipated and emerging issues
* Well-organised, industrious and flexible, with a proven ability to sustain high levels of performance within a fast paced, output-focused environment, capable of working independently and as part of a team
