Job description Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our Group. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for over 500 employees, including statutory calculations, deductions and reporting. Responsibilities Accurately process payroll for 500 employees, ensuring all payments are correct and on time. Perform manual calculations to verify payroll accuracy. Calculate and process statutory payments such as maternity, paternity and sick pay. Handle employee deductions including taxes, National Insurance and benefits. Process new starters and leavers, issue P45s and ensure correct tax code allocations. Calculate and manage Additional Holiday Pay (AHP) and prepare P11D submissions. Administer and process court-ordered deductions. Manage workplace pension schemes and submit monthly reports to pension providers. File FPS and EPS online with HMRC Provide payroll-related guidance and support to employees. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years experience in a payroll position Computer Literate - advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Skills & Abilities Previous hands-on experience in payroll processing is essential. Impeccable accuracy in handling sensitive financial data. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong planning and prioritisation skills to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. A courteous and professional approach in all interactions. Absolute discretion when handling personal and financial information. High level of competence in both written English and numerical accuracy. What we offer Competitive Salary: Negotiable based on experience. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9:00am - 5:30pm, with a 5:00pm finish on Fridays).
