Project Manager
£47 - £63.40 per hour
Morson is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support the development of critical control systems for our defence client in Barrow-in-Furness. You will be responsible for executing PM deliverables in alignment with programme goals by facilitating clear communication between the project team, stakeholders, and leadership. With a focus on analysis and coordination, you will be planning, reporting, managing risk, and deploying dependencies on complex development projects. The role is being offered on an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension or permanent conversion.
There is a minimum expectation of 2 days onsite every 2 weeks in Barrow-in-Furness. We can offer a rate of £47 per hour PAYE or £63.40 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities
* Provide regular updates on work stream progress, milestones, opportunities, and potential issues.
* Implement Project Control methodologies.
* Engage with stakeholders such as finance, engineering, supply chain, customers, quality, assurance, and safety teams.
* Monitor, track, and report on progress and performance in relation to budget.
* Provide guidance on Project Management issues and propose solutions using established APM principles.
* Support the creation of all PM deliverables (CAM packs, technical reviews, DSUMs, and others as required).
* Identify, assess, and manage risks to the success of the project.
Requirements
* Project management experience with a focus on analysis and coordination.
* Line management experience.
* Experience in planning, reporting, managing risk, and deploying dependencies.
* Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience with Jira or Confluence.
* Project planning experience that includes scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
* Suitability for SC clearance or eligibility for this level of clearance, considering the sensitive nature of the work.
