Packer and Storesperson – Berkhamsted – Up to £25,
The Packing and Store Person is responsible for effectively packing products by company standards. This role also includes pressure testing of parts, final assembly of certain products, and managing incoming goods.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, and organised.
Salary: £25, increasing up to £26, after probation (plus Discretionary Bonus)
Holiday: 20 days + 2 rejuvenation days + 1 day per year up to 5 years (some holiday is used for Christmas)
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30 till 17:00
Duties:
1. Select appropriate packaging materials based on product type and shipment method.
2. Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit.
3. Ensure that packing standards meet company and customer specifications.
4. Labelling units in the correct manner
5. Conduct pressure testing of parts as required.
6. Report issues i.e. malfunctions or defective parts.
7. Manage goods in, including receiving and inspecting incoming shipments.
8. Check the number of items received against delivery notes and purchase orders
9. Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory audits.
10. Report stock shortages when observed
11. Keeping the work area clean and hazard-free
12. Maintaining equipment to safe standard and in good condition
13. Work with other team members to meet demand when required
14. Conserve resources and supplies to eliminate undue waste
Qualifications:
15. Experience as a packer/Storesperson
16. Maths, English GCSE levels
17. Computer skills
18. Mechanical background (Preferred)
