We are looking for a enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our friendly team at Lucy Janes Bakery.
We require someone who can show great customer service skills whilst working the shop floor serving customers on the counter as well as confidence working with food whilst making made-to-order sandwiches on our takeaway sandwich bar.
Being part of a small team requires good communication and the ability to work together completing general bakery duties throughout the shift.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
* Creating a welcoming and positive customer experience at the bakery.
* Advising customers on baked goods selection and taking orders and payments.
* Monitoring the counter to ensure the visual appeal and availability of products on display.
* Making coffees, hot drinks, milkshakes and slushies to takeaway.
* When working the sandwich bar, to make food orders as they come in, ensuring quality and hygiene standards are always met.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace at all times.
* Performing general shop duties throughout the shift such as washing up. cleaning surfaces, emptying bins and sweeping floors.
* Clean down the kitchen and/or shop area and preparing for the following day.
We can offer flexible hours but applicants must have the availability to work different shifts during the hours of 6:30am and 5pm Monday to Friday and to work some Saturdays. Due to the needs of the business we are unable to offer set hours or days. Rotas are always given at least 4 weeks in advance.
Training will be provided on all aspects of the job role but previous experience working with food is highly advantageous as we do require someone who is competent working a busy sandwich bar.
We are a little independent bakery in the market town of Potton, made up of a small welcoming team creating a relaxed and friendly working environment.

Pay: £12.25 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
