Academic Operations Manager Full time (35 hrs/wk), permanent Split place of work between Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and Home with up to three days per week working from home Salary range £35,000 to £38,000 pa plus benefits We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Academic Operations team. You will be involved in a range of processes, spanning Academic Planning, resource and workload allocation, contracting, and supporting the continuous development of the Academic Operations database. This role is integral to the smooth running of our Academic Operations, and you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day processes whilst ensuring the team are informed and supported. Your accountabilities and responsibilities include: Manage Associate Lecturer onboarding, training, credentialling, resourcing, contracting, performance management, and payment Support with enhancement initiatives and projects to improve student satisfaction Assist the Research Funding and Operations Manager with the administration of grant costing and bids, grant management, and reporting Maintain the Academic Operations database and ensure data is collected, stored, and maintained in line with data protection requirements Our main requirements: Experience in a similar role within Academic Operations Previous experience leading implementation projects Strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders At University of the Built Environment we expect employees to demonstrate our values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Support.
