Your new roleOur client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Controller in accounting duties covering aspects of financial and accounting administration, purchase ledger, stock control and key management reports.What you'll need to succeed
* Ability to process accounts payables ledger and vendor invoices, ensuring invoices are cleared within the given deadline.
* To interact with vendors and undertake supplier statement reconciliations.
* To process bank transactions.
* To deal with all general enquiries from both internal and external sources.
* To identify issues that are causing delays in the process and work with the wider business to improve going forward.
* Providing Sales Ledger and banking cover as required.
* Provide support for Costing & BOM Maintenance.
* To track material consumptions, production efficiency and perform stock counting and reconciliation.
* Provide support for Product/Customer Margin Reporting and analysis.
* Production Variance Investigation.
* Provide support for Finance Month End activities.
* Business Improvement Projects
* Adhoc tasks to support the wider Finance team as required to ensure smooth running of the team
Qualifications
* AAT or in the initial stages of pursuing CIMA or ACCA
