As the Medical Workforce Rota Team Leader, you will provide comprehensive, high quality and effective resident doctor rota co‑ordination, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimum staffing is maintained at all times.
You will support the Clinical Business units across the Trust in managing the resident medical workforce by the effective management, administration and data input for resident doctors rotas.
You will line manage the Medical Workforce Rota Officers on a day-to-day basis ensuring a comprehensive Medical Workforce Rota function is delivered.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality rota management and advice for the effective use of resident medical workforce across all 3 of the Clinical Business Units (CBU).
* Provide advice and guidance to other non‑centralised rota coordinators as and when required.
* Serve as the initial point of contact for resident medical staff and provide information on staffing levels before any request for absence is authorised.
* Provide accurate and up‑to‑date information to senior clinicians and CBU Management regarding staffing numbers, sickness absence, vacancies and bank/locum requirements.
* Support Deputy Medical Staffing Manager Retention in redesign of rotas to ensure compliance with the required rules in line with the most up‑to‑date version of the Resident Doctor Contract 2016.
