Shape Learning in Lower Key Stage 2
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and committed Year 3 Teacher to join our forward-thinking primary school in Grantham, starting as soon as possible. This is a unique opportunity to teach a pivotal stage in pupils’ education, helping them transition confidently from Key Stage 1 into Lower Key Stage 2 while building essential skills and fostering a love of learning.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons across all areas of the curriculum. You will play a key role in developing pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and wider learning, while nurturing independence, curiosity, and resilience. Role Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 3
* Use assessment to monitor pupil progress and inform planning
* Provide differentiated learning opportunities to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners
* Maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment
* Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders to ensure continuity and consistency
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress, achievements, and next steps
* Contribute to staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide initiatives
* Support pupils in building independence, resilience, and confidence in their learning

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in literacy, numeracy, and the wider curriculum
* Be confident in differentiating teaching to support the needs of all pupils
* Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
* Be collaborative, reflective, and committed to continuous professional development
* Show dedication to safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting pupils’ wellbeing
