We are currently recruiting Sales Directors for our 2 newly created divisions with Hand Picked Hotels, which will include Events and Luxury. The location for this role is flexible but will involve weekly travel to the hotels within the relevant division.
The Sales Director for the division will be accountable for setting and implementing the sales strategy, delivering against enquiry, conversion, and sales targets for Meetings and Events, Weddings, and Functions across the division. This includes managing existing accounts and leads, while also developing new business for the division, individual hotels, and the wider group.
As a member of the Divisional Leadership team, the role also plays a key role in delivering the overall performance of the division.
About the Role
About the role:
• Set and implement the sales strategy for the division to achieve strong enquiry, conversion, and sales performance for Meetings and Events, Weddings, and Functions.
• Oversee existing accounts and leads, proactively seeking new business opportunities for the division, hotels, and the group, working closely with Hotel Sales Managers.
• Collaborate with other Sales Directors, Hotel Sales Managers, and the Sales Director – Agency and National Accounts to ensure a coordinated sales approach.
• Communicate effectively with GMs within designated hotels and regions. Assist in compiling the hotels' sales and marketing plans in conjunction with the Marketing Director, GMs, Sales Managers, and Event Managers.
About you:
• Current sales director experience within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment within the UK.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets, highly driven, and results-focused. 10+ years of hotel sales experience, preferably with national accounts/TMCs, corporate, and MICE.
• Proactive with motivation to drive business growth and exceed targets.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and build relationships with key clients.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and projects.
• Influential at all levels, including senior stakeholders and hotel staff.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel extensively as required by the role.
