Static Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Reading, England, United Kingdom.
We are seeking a highly competent and reliable mechanical engineer to join our team in Reading. The role involves the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems within a modern apartment complex.
What You'll Do
 * Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a range of mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, and other fluid handling systems.
 * Maintain domestic hot water systems and lift systems (desirable).
 * Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems.
 * Carry out repairs and installations of mechanical components and systems.
 * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
 * Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
 * Work independently and as part of a team.
What You'll Need
 * Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer.
 * Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
 * Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
 * City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
 * Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems (desirable).
What We Offer
 * Competitive salary of £42,000 per year.
 * 40‑hour work week, Monday to Friday.
 * 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
