Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with this Client, a successful and inclusive secondary school based in Newham, who are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their thriving English department from September. This is a full-time Permanent / Fixed Term opportunity offering a salary on the London MPS/UPS scale, with interviews to be arranged immediately.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire a love of literature and language while raising achievement and attainment across the department.
The role will include:
Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons that challenge and engage students
Teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4
Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress effectively
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
Participating fully in departmental and whole-school initiatives
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have a relevant degree in English or a related subject
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
Have experience teaching English at secondary level
Be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning
Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be dedicated to supporting student achievement and wellbeing
Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
