Business Support Co-ordinator Permanent x2 Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week Hybrid working: Home Working and some office working at Birmingham City Centre Office location This is an exciting opportunity to join the Complaints and Enquiry function at Birmingham City Council. We are recruiting for enthusiastic and flexible individuals to undertake the role of Business Support Coordinator within the consolidated complaints and enquiry service managing City Housing complaints and enquiries. You will play a proactive role in further embedding a consistent, excellent and reliable customer focussed complaints and enquiries service. As a Business Support Coordinator you will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective complaints and enquiry service. You will manage and coordinate complaints and enquiries received from a range of stakeholders, such as residents, MPs, and Councillors, adhering to statutory requirements and relevant legislation, regulatory codes, guidance and professional practice. You will be responsible for the coordination of timely responses to citizens and Members including the Leader of the Council, managing escalated complaints and enquiries as well as maintaining accurate case management and other administrative records using appropriate IT systems according to the required standards and procedures and producing reports and summaries. You will need to be a proactive team player with the ability to work to deadlines and able to manage a number of conflicting priorities and competing demands. You will work flexibly and as part of a team to provide continuity of service. You will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and have strong skills in driving change and service performance and promoting a compliance culture. Taking responsibility for your own workload, quality-checking Business Support Officer responses, and being an owner and driver is essential, along with strong organisational skills.
