We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swale and Maidstone to assist with the appointment of a Housing Resettlement Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £18.00 - £23.65 per hour
Summary:
Opportunity for a Housing Resettlement Officer to support individuals and families in moving from temporary accommodation into settled housing. The role involves managing a caseload, providing housing advice, and working with partners to resolve homelessness and support sustainable tenancies.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of applicants under the main housing duty
* Assess housing needs and develop personalised housing plans
* Provide advice on housing options including private rent and supported accommodation
* Liaise with landlords and agencies to secure suitable accommodation
* Conduct interviews and home visits where required
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in housing, homelessness, or related services
* Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation (Housing Act 1996 Part VII)
* Excellent communication and case management skills
* Ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
* Full UK driving licence (required for home visits)
