We are looking for an experienced 2nd or 3 rd Chef to join our kitchen team.
With a Newly refurbished kitchen .We are a 4 star Inn with 15 bedrooms, conservatory restaurant, glass house restaurant, bar area, cosy lounge, first floor small function room and good sized patio and garden areas. Food is served from 12-9 pm daily.
We pride ourselves on the awards we have achieved; AA Dinner Award, Breakfast Award and Four Star Gold Inn Award plus Visit England Breakfast Award, Four Star Inn Award and Silver Award.
We are looking for a hard working individual who is passionate about food and is reliable. The right candidate will have an eye for presentation and will work closely alongside our kitchen brigade.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and cooking and producing homemade products from fresh produce.
A good knowledge of food health, safety and hygiene is essential.
Our menu is produced from locally sourced fresh and seasonal ingredients.
Shifts will be either split shifts or straight shifts - 4-5 days per week.
Rate of pay and hours will be discussed at interview.
Job Duties:
* Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
* Create and follow recipes and presentation specifications
* Maintain a clean environment whilst adhering to health & safety standards
* Assist with the training techniques and organisation of kitchen and equipment
* Smooth running and ordering of stock to maintain low levels of stock and cost control of kitchen
* Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards and SFBB and records
There would be the opportunity to live in staff accommodation if needed for the right person
