Where possible, we support a working pattern that suits your lifestyle and helps you reach your ambitions.**Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer****Site Location: Templecombe****Primary Purpose of the Role:*** Responsible for supporting, configuring and building Systems IT infrastructures, installation on a variety of projects across the business.**Responsibility:**Implementation, maintenance, optimisation and support of customer’s systems supplied and supported by Thales.**Required hardware and software core elements:*** Microsoft and RHEL Servers - physical and virtual* Microsoft Windows 10/11 client* Hypervisor technology* Scripting – Powershell, Configuration as Code – Ansible – DSC* Server and client operating systems configuration* Microsoft Active Directory* Group Policies* SCCM, MECM and WSUS* Windows and A/V generic updates* Providing 3rd level support and mentoring 2nd/1st line support teams* Alignment with third-party vendors and their applicable software and hardware**Experience:*** Minimum 3 years relevant IT hands-on experience* Networking hands on experience and desire to upskill* Experience of and a strong understanding of IT security* Experience of multi-site organisation* Ideally currently SC Cleared**Key Competencies:*** Willingness and flexibility to support activities at other Thales sites worldwide.* Team player, with strong communication skills* Strong customer service orientation* Excellent verbal and written communication* Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities* Ability to prioritise work and meet challenging deadlines* Ability to explain complex technical issues in non-technical terms* Ability to work both unsupervised and as an active member of a collaborative team* Ability to troubleshoot complex, technical, multi-site problems* Keen attention to detail* Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative* Keen to learn new skills and be aware of latest technologies and trendsConnect with Fiona Tal, Talent Acquisition Partner #LI-FT1 who is eager to explore together with you this exciting opportunity.**This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.
