Financial Reporting Manager - Real Estate
£65k - £75k plus bonus & leading industry benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Management of a team of four responsible for financial accounting and control processes, for example balance sheet reconciliations and day to day bookkeeping.
Development of a team of four people, one of whom is qualified. The role will involve supporting these individuals not only with the performance of their roles but with the development of their careers.
Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations for key account balances, including bank reconciliations.
Ensuring account balances for which the role is responsible are consistently of a high standard, such that the business can be provided with impactful reporting and generate insight which supports business performance.
Working with the Head of Group Reporting and Group Reporting Manager to ensure that the Group Accounting Policies manual is followed at all times.
Delivery of statutory accounts and pension scheme accounts at the year-end, liaising with the external auditors to ensure that these are delivered to timetable.
Finding ways to improve efficiency or automate repetitive tasks performed by the team. This will include interactions with the Property and Financial System transformation project.
Key Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with some post-qualified experience.
Strong people manager, with a passion for developing junior staff members
Ability to quickly understand and critically assess processes and procedures
Excellent attention to detail, instilling the same skill in junior staff members
Innovative thinker with a track record of delivering process improvements, operating with a growth mindset
Operates with an open mind, working with a diverse team and stakeholders in a manner which is inclusive
Property experience desirable but not essential.
