Overview
A specialist education provider is seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join a growing multi‑disciplinary clinical team supporting children and young people with complex additional needs. This role is based within a specialist independent day school for pupils aged 5–16, supporting children with a range of special educational needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and communication needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering specialist speech and language assessments and interventions
* Supporting pupils through individual and group therapy
* Providing consultation, advice, and training to education and care teams
* Supporting the implementation of therapeutic strategies across the setting
* Contributing to care planning and multi‑disciplinary collaboration
* Supporting and guiding less experienced team members where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
* Hold a recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy
* Be registered with the HCPC
* Have significant experience working with children and young people with complex needs
* Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and therapeutic intervention skills
* Have experience supporting professionals around a child or young person
* Be confident delivering training, guidance, and consultation to teams
* Be organised, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively
* Be committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
* Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel where required
