* Basic salary: up to £50,000
* Overtime to earn circa £60,000

Home based; preferably residing in the Midlands or North of England. Commutable locations include Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Stoke, Sheffield, Leicester. Covers the UK and Ireland.
Job Description
Field Service Engineer responsible for repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of end‑of‑line packaging machinery, including PLC control. Work involves fault finding, modifying and upgrading Siemens PLCs (or similar). The role requires travelling throughout the UK and Ireland, spending 2–3 nights per week away from home and working one weekend per month on average.
Full training will be provided on the job and occasionally at the headquarters in Europe, with additional training on upgrading and modifying PLCs.
Person Specification
* Proven track record as a Field Service Engineer with experience on packaging machinery in the food and/or beverage markets.
* Multi‑skilled engineer with electrical and electronic engineering qualifications, ideally with specific training on fault finding, modifying and upgrading of Siemens PLCs (or similar).
* Consideration will be given to candidates with a track record as Factory Maintenance Engineers with end‑of‑line packaging machinery experience in the food and/or beverage markets and PLC knowledge above.
