Recruit4staff are representing a leading manufacturing business in their search for an Automotive Quality Engineer to work in Liverpool.
* Pay: Up to £22.50 per hour (PAYE) or up to £27.15 per hour (Umbrella)
* Hours of Work: 7am-4pm Monday to Thursday and 6am-13:30pm on Fridays, - Flexibility is required though
* Duration: Temporary role for 12 months, but this could be extended
* Benefits: Immediate start available and potential overtime opportunities.
Job Role - Automotive Quality Engineer
* You will be working as part of the Launch Support Team and will be responsible for mitigating supplier related quality issues during the launch phase of new vehicles & model year changes.
* Lead & support robust closure of all supplier quality related issues for all new model related programmes.
* Using 8D methodology.
* Leading a variety of projects.
* Developing relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders and supplier representatives.
* Assess & implement escalation for supplier who have recorded repeat / significant quality issues during pre-build activities within the plant.
Working cross-functionally with Manufacturing/Engineering teams to provide technical problem solving support to any issues.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within an Automotive environment
* Suitably qualified within Engineering / Quality
* Strong knowledge of 8D - Essential
* Experience with technical such as APQP, PPAP, 8D, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing etc.
* Must have strong communication skills
* Understanding of Automotive quality processes
Desired Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
* Six Sigma Green Belt
* Experience within BIW, Powertrain, Chassis, Trim or Electronics Supply Chain
* Experience working in a EPMC environment
