Job Overview
This is a challenging junior role suitable for motivated instrumentation and/or electrical engineers or I&E technicians with some instrumentation and electrical maintenance experience. The role involves carrying out corrective and preventative electrical & instrumentation maintenance, modifications, and assisting operations at production facilities.
Salary and Benefits
The package offers circa £40k-£45k+ depending on skills and experience, including full training, further qualifications, overtime, a large annual bonus, generous holidays, a 10% contributory pension scheme, and gym allowance. Candidate Requirements
* Electrical or instrumentation qualifications (apprenticeship trained, NVQ level 3, ONC in Electrical, Instrument & Control Engineering) with good knowledge in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
* Maintenance experience on plant equipment connected to onsite systems.
* Low voltage experience (LV) and willingness to further train in instrumentation or electrical systems.
* Understanding of plant operations, ideally in high-risk industries like chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, nuclear, or refineries.
* Full UK driving license and eligibility to work without sponsorship.
* Desirable: Experience with DSEAR/ATEX regulations, High Voltage systems, HV pressure lines.
Role Responsibilities
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities include executing corrective and preventative electrical and instrumentation maintenance, modifications, and supporting operational activities.
