gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Senior Design Engineer / Design Manager to work at their facility based in South Yorkshire.
Performance Objectives
* As a Technical Director / Design Manager reporting directly to the Board you will be responsible for all technical aspects of projects including producing steelwork designs using the latest technology / design software
* Technical expertise must be outstanding, looking for an individual who can support this with strong leadership skills and the ability to train / encourage other team members.
* Experience in value / cost engineering in both design and fabrication is important in addition to your ability share experiences and develop new ideas with others.
* There is a clear career and fast progression route for the successful candidate.
Person Specification
* A degree qualified Chartered Structural Engineer is preferred
* Substantial experience in the structural steel industry with a bias towards portal frames.
* 5-10 years experience working in a similar role is essential
