My client islooking for a motivated and proactive Junior Category Buyer to support the purchasing function and help drive a resilient and reliable supply chain. The right candidate will be organised, adaptable, and confident building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE
* Build and manage supplier relationships with a professional and consistent approach.
* Communicate supply issues affecting category spend with relevant departments and escalate where required.
* Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules.
* Create and maintain material master data and supplier drawing workflows.
* Handle general procurement administration and departmental housekeeping.
* Manage CAPEX for company assets.
* Act as a key point of contact for resolving pricing, quality, delivery, and invoice issues.
* Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
* Contribute to the evaluation of supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery).
* Maintain and create management information systems (MIS).
