As a Senior Contract Management Advisor, you’ll play a vital role in delivering strategic and operational objectives through effectivemercial and contractual practices. You’ll act as a trusted expert, providing high-quality advice and support to managers and operational teams on a wide range of medium to high-riskmercial activities. These include procurement, concessions, energy contracts, grants, leases, and management agreements.
As a Senior Advisor, you will:
1. Support Contract Managers on medium to high risk contract management activities, advising on contract management process,ernance, and oues throughout the contract management life cycle.
2. Provide specialist advice and guidance in order to managemercial and sustainability risk, to improve ways of working and drive efficiency.
3. Ensures internal and externalpliance with requirements, data security, anti-fraud measures and supply chain sustainability, challenging instances of nonpliance.
4. Hold accountability ensuring robust,pliant and value for money oues, with the ability to work autonomously and to make decisions without line manager input when needed.
5. Build and maintain influential and collaborative relationships with internal customers to ensure awareness of the opportunities, risks, and best practice relevant to contract management, influencing the work of our internal customers to provide positive oues.
6. Manage the structured transition between contract award and service delivery,municating with stakeholders.
7. Mentor and coach others onmercial procedures, practices and techniques equipping them with the knowledge and skills to deliver their work in an effective and efficient manner.
8. Be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) - Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply (Full membership or nearingpletion).
9. Be expected to undertake and obtain the CMPC expert qualification within 18 months of appointment if not already qualified to that level.
10. Have knowledge and understanding of relevant contract legislation and public sector policy.
11. Have substantial experience of influencingmercial decisions at a project or contract level.
12. Experience of undertaking and leadingmercial exercises, demonstrating success with their delivery.
13. Be able to demonstrate transferable experience of usingmercial approaches to deliver business objectives.
14. Experience of undertaking high level andplex negotiations with supply partners.
This is a full-time and permanent role that starts at a salary of £42662, plus a range of benefits. Hybrid working arrangements are also in place.
