Overview
Library Assistant (Mornings) – London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, London, United Kingdom. This part-time role (17.5 hours per week, 0.5 FTE, permanent) is based in the Library, Archive & Open Research Services (LAORS). Working hours are on-site in the mornings: 08.45–12.15, Monday to Friday. Salary on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 3, £28,614 – £32,307 per annum pro-rata (inclusive of London Weighting). Annual leave is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff, with discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. The post is subject to LSHTM terms and conditions of service. The post is based in London.

Responsibilities
* Staff the Library in-person in the mornings on weekdays and assist with opening the Library at the scheduled time.
* Provide face-to-face service at the Enquiries Desk and support remote users via Live Chat and the ServiceDesk portal.
* Contribute to all aspects of the delivery of library services with a focus on high standards of customer service.
* Undertake tasks and projects relating to User Services (or other areas of the service as needed).
* Work on-site to deliver on-site library operations and user support.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or hold an equivalent qualification; proven experience in a library setting.
* Knowledge of issues relating to the delivery of library services.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
