Recruit4staff are representing a well-established local authority business in their search for a HGV 2 Driver to work in Wrexham Job Details: Pay: £14.82 per hour (x 1.5 overtime) Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 7am - 3:15pm, Friday - 7am - 2:45pm. Do not work Bank Holidays - will be required to work the following Saturday Duration: Temp To Perm (12 weeks) Job Role: Operating a Class 2 vehicle, typically a 32-tonne refuse or recycling truck. Duties include collecting waste or recycling from both residential and commercial properties across the borough, following designated council-set routes and schedules, and working with a team of loaders. The driver is responsible for daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any vehicle or route issues, all while adhering to health and safety standards and council policies. Strong public service skills are important as drivers frequently interact with residents.
