About the role
As a Management Accountant at JCB, you’ll take on a highly visible and valued role within our Sales Finance team, partnering with colleagues across the business and external stakeholders to support confident, informed decision‑making.

You’ll become a trusted go‑to for finance queries, known for your approachable style, clear communication, and ability to bring clarity to complexity. Responsibilities
* Support the Assistant Financial Controller with month‑end reporting activities.
* Prepare and clearly explain key variances, providing insight and context for stakeholders.
* Lead forecasting and budgeting, partnering with non‑Finance teams to build monthly overhead forecasts and the annual budget.
* Complete balance‑sheet and inter‑company reconciliations, investigate variances and resolve issues in a timely way.
* Manage and maintain the fixed‑asset register, including monitoring capital expenditure and forecasting future requirements.
* Complete accruals and prepayments, post journals accurately and on time.
* Support continuous improvement and standardisation, helping to build a more efficient Finance function.
Qualifications
* Enjoy collaboration, pride in quality, and value addition through insight, accuracy, and problem solving.
* Qualified or in the final stages of a recognised accounting qualification.
* Experience within a Finance function, ideally with exposure to management accounts.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP) and confidence working with data.
* A proactive, organised approach, able to manage priorities, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
* Comfortable building positive relationships with Finance and non‑Finance colleagues, and communicating clearly and professionally.
* A commitment to working in line with Group Accounting Policies and delivering consistently high standards.
Nice to have
* Experience supporting forecasting/budgeting cycles or partnering with stakeholders outside Finance.
* Interest in improving ways of working – spotting opportunities to simplify, standardise or strengthen processes.
* Experience working in a high‑volume environment where priorities can shift.
