Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum + commission/bonus

My client is a well-established construction-related business based in Clacton-on-Sea, providing products and solutions to contractors, builders, and commercial clients. Due to growth, they are seeking an ambitious and customer-focused Sales Specialist to drive new business and maintain strong client relationships in the construction sector.
The Role
As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for generating leads, managing existing accounts, and promoting our products and services to construction professionals. This role requires a mix of office-based and field sales, providing excellent customer service and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within the construction sector
* Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients
* Providing product knowledge, technical advice, and solutions to customers
* Preparing quotations, proposals, and presentations
* Achieving and exceeding sales targets
* Attending trade shows, site visits, and customer meetings as required
* Collaborating with the internal team to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately
* Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments
Requirements
* Proven sales experience, preferably in construction or related industries
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
* Technical knowledge of construction products is highly desirable
* Full UK driving licence

* Previous experience with B2B account management in construction
* Familiarity with CRM systems
