Audit Senior

The Role
As Audit Senior, you’ll be responsible for planning, leading, and completing audit assignments while supporting and developing junior members of the team. Working closely with managers and partners, you’ll have the opportunity to build long‑term client relationships and gain exposure to a wide range of businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion for a variety of clients
* Managing the audit process, including risk assessment, fieldwork, and report preparation
* Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing coaching and feedback
* Ensuring assignments are delivered on time and to the highest professional standards
* Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in line with UK GAAP
* Building strong client relationships and providing clear, practical advice
* Liaising with clients on technical and commercial matters to ensure smooth audit delivery
* Working with the wider team to identify opportunities to add value for clients
About You
You’ll be a motivated, technically skilled audit professional who enjoys working in a collaborative and client‑focused environment.
You will:
* Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist) with strong audit experience gained in practice
* Have experience leading audits from planning through to completion
* Possess solid technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
* Be confident managing client relationships and delivering a high standard of service
* Have excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills
* Be a team player with a proactive approach to learning and mentoring others
* Enjoy working across a diverse client portfolio and sectors
Experience using audit software such as CCH, CaseWare, or similar would be advantageous.
