Senior Fund Accountant - Real Assets – London
Role and Location
The successful candidate will join the Real Assets team as a Senior Fund Accountant and will work with the Client and Client Service Managers based in UK/Jersey/Lux in connection with the administration of Real Asset Funds. The candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience in Real Asset Fund Accounting and NAV calculations. Proficiency in Yardi is required, with experience in Property Accounting, Client relationship management, Team management, Process improvements, and preparing Financials and other Client reporting.
Responsibilities
* Review and sign off Management Accounts and various client reporting, including bookkeeping journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
* Review and sign off Quarterly and Annual NAV packs/Financials for Real Asset Funds/Properties, including consolidated accounts/financials for SPVs and Properties.
* Assist with the tax compliance process for CIT, VAT and CIS.
* Contribute to expansion and integration of Yardi technology platforms, with a focus on Yardi as the core Real Assets Software Platform.
* Perform/review Fund/Property/Lease set-up, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities in Yardi.
* Maintain a pro-active customer focus, monitor timing and quality of client deliverables and interact with Management and Clients.
* Ensure SLA targets are met for all deliverables.
* Act as a liaison with clients and internal/external parties (auditors, legal counsel, tax advisors); respond to/resolve queries and escalate where necessary.
* Assist in client audit procedures, process invoice payments on behalf of clients, and liaise with property management companies.
Qualifications / Skills
* Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
* Knowledge of Lux GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
* Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (verbal and written).
* Self-motivated, insightful, and deadline-driven with sound judgment and analytical skills.
* Minimum 5 years of public/private real estate accounting work experience.
* Part qualified, CA/CMA/CFA/CPA/ACCA.
