The general pharmacy department is looking to recruit a pharmacy assistant to perform general duties supporting the efficient running of the department. We seek an enthusiastic pharmacy assistant to join our motivated team and assist with the supply of medicines to wards. The successful candidate will receive the necessary training for the role.
The post involves working from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm for four days and from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm on one day each week.
Main Duties of the Job
* Work towards a BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles and Practice for pharmacy support staff.
* Deal with the public effectively.
* Maintain good organisational skills.
* Demonstrate high accuracy in all tasks.
* Operate PCs for data entry and information management.
* Undertake further education, training, and validation to perform job duties.
* Handle telephone enquiries and direct them appropriately within the pharmacy department.
* Work in a team or independently during ward duties.
* Participate in GDP training to meet wholesale dealer license requirements.
* Complete all mandatory training as required by the Trust.

Qualifications
* Good GCSEs, including grade C in Maths and English
* NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services
Experience
* Customer care experience
* Experience in a pharmacy setting

* Strong communication skills, verbal and written
* Accuracy in all work areas
* Good computer and keyboard skills
