Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Purchasing Manager to lead and develop our procurement function. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage a small team of buyers, take ownership of supplier relationships, and ensure the business secures the best possible value across all categories. The role is office-based in Daventry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, develop, and continuously improve purchasing and procurement processes.
* Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal results on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
* Monitor, analyse, and forecast material and product demand to ensure consistent supply and efficient stock levels.
* Review spend data to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
* Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, ensuring long-term value and minimising supply chain risk.
* Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans where necessary.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams—including operations, production, and finance—to ensure a smooth and reliable supply chain.
