Essential Job Duties
* Performs ticket processing duties through Digger's Hotline for locating facilities to ensure safe excavation.
* Answers incoming phone calls from utility companies and company Foremen.
* Manages scheduling crews and coordinating with drilling division, communicating crew list to customers.
* Responds to inquiries regarding excavation accurately and in a timely manner.
* Contacts utility customers to inform them of upcoming work on their properties via a telephone call or email message.
* Communicates with supervisors and crew members to coordinate work schedules with upcoming projects.
* Reconciles billing by understanding units/descriptions of work.
* Maintains the database for completed work orders and restorations.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center or similar environment preferred.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel required.
* Ability to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, 10-key calculator, phone, and similar machines.
* Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals, blueprints, and maps.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or in a team-oriented environment.
* Must be able to sit and talk on the phone for long periods of time.
