JHE & Partners are excited to be working exclusively with a fantastic manufacturer in the Shipley area, who are looking for an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a local business that are massively on the ascendency, having just recorded their best ever quarter.
Reporting into a superb and highly knowledgeable Accountant, the position offers plenty of variety across transactional finance through to management accounts prep with the addition of some payroll admin duties. The client is open to experience; candidates without management accounts experience, but possess good accounts knowledge, coupled with a willingness to learn will be considered for the role. The company is going through excellent growth, therefore the chosen candidate could have the opportunity to widen their knowledge and gain exposure to future projects.
Duties include:
* Process purchase invoices, reconciling statements and dealing with queries
* Prepare payment runs
* Raising sales invoices
* Checking credit worthiness for new accounts, chasing overdue monies owed
* Month-end support for preparing balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments and accruals
* Assisting with monthly stocktake and liaising with operations team
* Some cost analysis
* Daily bank reconciliations and reconciling credit cards
* Checking timesheets for weekly payroll
* Some HR admin for new starters and leavers ensuring compliance with company processes
