Job Description Could you make a difference to help keep our roads safe? We are looking for a team of volunteers to support the Road Safety Support Team with Dam Cam footage administration. This role has been created due to the vast increase in Dash Cam usage leading to submissions to the police of potential wrong doing. Hours and hours of footage are submitted to the team per month which is very time consuming for the staff to work through. As a Dash Cam Volunteer you will be Responsible For Reviewing footage submitted by the public to the Road Safety Support Team. Downloading the footage to be able to upload the footage onto our systems. Identify the time stamp of the potential offence by viewing the footage. Qualities Required Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions/guidance. Knowledge of road safety matters We are hoping to find a volunteer who can hep support through the week during office hours (Monday-Friday 9am-4pm) As a Police Support Volunteer, Avon and Somerset Police will reimburse you for out-of-pocket expenses that you incur whilst volunteering for us. Eligibility You must be 18 years of age or over to be able to apply. To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
