Probate Solicitor – Co‑op Legal Services
Location: Manchester, England, United Kingdom
Position: Full-time (Hybrid – Home and Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, or Stratford upon Avon offices)
Job Overview
Us the specialist probate team at Co‑op Legal Services, you will manage a varied caseload of probate matters from start to finish using a modern case‑management system and AI‑enabled tools. You will work collaboratively with a team of experienced solicitors while mentoring junior colleagues and supporting the continual development of your own legal skills.
Salary and Benefits
Pay Range: £32,000 – £65,000 (dependant on experience, Work levels 5 & 6A)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week or part‑time options available.

Responsibilities
* Own a caseload of probate cases varying in complexity, from completion to client hand‑over
* Ensure accurate information is recorded in the case‑management system
* Engage with clients primarily by telephone and email
* Work collaboratively with expert support from the team while continually developing your legal skills
* Mentor more junior members of the team
Requirements
* Qualified as a solicitor or legal executive in private practice (CILEX or STEP qualification) or equivalent experience in probate law
* Ability to use initiative and effectively prioritise and organise work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
* Client‑focused approach with the ability to build positive relationships remotely
