Shift Manager | Poole | 6-Month FTC | £52,214 PA ~ Rotating Shifts

We’re exclusively recruiting for a leading manufacturing business based in Poole that’s looking for a hands-on Shift Manager to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You’ll play a critical role in overseeing operations, supporting your team and ensuring the smooth delivery of the production plan. For the right person, this FTC has the potential to lead to a permanent opportunity.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is a 6-month FTC and requires the successful candidate to work a rotating shift pattern which includes a night shift.
Rotating shift pattern:
* 6am–2pm
* 2pm–10pm
* 10pm–6am

As Shift Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and supporting a team of Team Leaders and Production Operatives across shifts
* Delivering against safety, quality, efficiency and production targets
* Coaching and developing team members to enhance performance and engagement
* Driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives across your shift
* Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and food safety standards
* Communicating shift priorities effectively with other departments and leadership
* Acting as the key point of contact for shift operations and deputising for senior management where required
As Shift Manager, your experience will include:
* Experience in a Shift Manager or similar role within food or FMCG manufacturing
* Proven ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams
* A strong commitment to health & safety, food safety and compliance
* Familiarity with HACCP, BRC, or equivalent food safety standards
* Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
* Ideally IOSH/NEBOSH certification and experience leading CI projects
