NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions. We provide acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to over 1.15 million people and a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed‑term post of six months, part‑time, with a Monday‑to‑Friday shift pattern. The role is based in South Sector, Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a complex and varied caseload, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning.
* Provide clinical oversight and support to rotating staff, support workers and students, including induction, training and daily management.
* Lead service development and change initiatives within the team.
* Engage in continuous professional development, audit and research activities.
* Possibly participate in seven‑day working or extended hours, as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma or degree level education in occupational therapy.
* Registration with the HCPC.
* Significant postgraduate experience, preferably in Older Peoples Services or a related specialty.
Also Required
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
