Interim Systems Accountant
with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience to support the business through a defined period of change.
This is an interim Systems Accountant role within a manufacturing environment, suited to a contractor who can hit the ground running and add immediate value. The focus is on stabilising, optimising and improving the use of Business Central across the finance function, ensuring robust reporting, controls and processes during this interim assignment in Coventry.
The role
As Interim Systems Accountant, you will take ownership of the finance systems agenda, with a particular focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, supporting the manufacturing business through a critical interim period.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Acting as the interim finance systems lead for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
* Driving system optimisation, configuration and process improvements
* Ensuring data integrity, financial controls and reliable reporting
* Supporting finance users with training, troubleshooting and best practice
* Supporting month-end and reporting from a systems and data perspective
* Enhancing management reporting and system-driven insight
* Working with external system partners and internal stakeholders
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced interim Systems Accountant who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with hands-on Business Central experience and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You are likely to bring:
* Proven experience operating as an interim or contractor
* Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
* A solid accounting background (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred)
* Experience supporting finance teams through change or system improvement
* A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach
