Job Title: Physics Teacher
Location: Marlborough
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our team at Marlborough College in the town of Marlborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and interactive physics lessons to students of varying abilities.
Role and Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver comprehensive physics lesson plans that align with the national curriculum
* Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to the diverse learning styles of students
* Facilitate hands-on experiments and demonstrations to enhance understanding of complex physics concepts
* Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and performance
* Monitor and assess student achievement through regular assessments and examinations
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behaviour
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and initiatives
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and performance
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities as required
Qualifications and Skills
* A degree in Physics or a related field
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Proven experience teaching physics at the secondary level
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment criteria
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
* A commitment to continuous professional development and improvement
