Employment Advisor – Expression of Interest
Fixed term contract until October 2026
Salary: £30,000
About us:
Here at Ingeus, our mission is to ensure people have the skills, support, and behaviours to get jobs, gain independence and become productive employees. We are currently bidding on several contracts, the outcomes of which are due to be announced by April 2026. As such, we are potentially recruiting a team of Employment Advisors. This role sits within our Youth department and ensures our service users find suitable employment or remain employed.
About the role:
The Employment Advisor works directly with referred young people from initial contact through to sustained employment, providing personalised, wraparound support at every stage of the journey. They conduct an initial assessment to understand each participant’s goals, strengths, barriers and support needs; co‑create an action plan; and deliver or coordinate pre‑employment support such as confidence building, CV development, interview preparation and short employability training.
* Building effective and positive relationships with participants, working collaboratively and challenging them to identify and overcome any potential barriers preventing them from returning to work.
* Partnering with the participant to create a comprehensive action plan to identify appropriate career opportunities, identifying any employment related barriers and the actions required to progress towards sustainable employment.
* Understanding the internal and external information, advice and guidance available to support participants with debt concerns, mental health conditions or career coaching and signposting as required.
* Working in partnership with the internal Employer Services team and relevant external employment support services to identify appropriate job opportunities.
* Supporting participants in preparing for job interviews, conducting mock interviews and assessment activity.
* Meet and exceed all monthly performance targets and Key Performance Indicators, seeking feedback and input to continuously improve and deliver strong outcomes for our participants and commissioners.
This role will require travel around East Midlands.
