Technical Officer – Environmental Health

 * Salary: Starting salary £38,518.48 per annum
 * Location: Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, EN8 9XQ – Hybrid Working at Bishops’ College
 * Contract: Permanent
 * Working pattern: Term Time
 * Hours: 37 hours per week
Responsibilities
 * Environmental protection – pollution control, planning consultations, statutory nuisance and general public health complaints
 * Food and health safety in commercial premises, health promotion, infectious diseases and licensing activities
 * Housing and residential – providing private sector housing advice and investigations
Qualifications
 * NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
 * Experience in one or more of the above environmental health areas
 * Full valid driving licence
 * Willingness to work on a rota basis covering out‑of‑hours noise service
 * Strong communication skills – able to converse fluently in English with the public
